It has come to the attention of the directors that some shareholders of UK companies have received unsolicited calls offering shares that often turn out to be worthless or non-existent, or an inflated price for shares they own. These calls are coming from fraudsters operating in ‘boiler rooms’ that are mostly based abroad. We are aware that at least one of our shareholders has been contacted in this way.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the ICSA Registrars Group have compiled a shareholder warning letter which they are recommending listed companies display on their websites. The directors want to make sure the Company’s shareholders are aware of these scams and have therefore, included below a link to the full text of the letter.
